A review of "Around the world in eighty days" ; by Jules Verne

"London to Suez by rail and steamer: 7 days.  Suez to Bombay by steamer: 13 days.  Bombay to Calcutta by rail: 3 days.  Calcutta to Hong Kong by steamer 13 days.  Hong Kong to Yokohama by steamer: 6 days.  Yokohama to San Francisco by steamer: 22 days.  San Francisco to New York by rail: 7 days.   And New York to London by steamer and rail: 9 days.   Total: 80 days.










 Around the world in 80 days Phileas Fogg is a calmed, punctual and an accurate man. He needs every thing to be perfect. He was also a member of Reform Club. One day the members of club discussed about a robbery that took place in   London, on the way of speech Phileas Fogg told he could travel around the world in eighty days. All the members who got interested about that topic offered him twenty thousand pound if he is able to do it else he have to give twenty thousand pound to them. He then announced them that he is going to start his journey on Wednesday of 2nd October at 8:45 pm from the club and will return to the club on Saturday 21st October at sharp 8:45 pm. It was the day he appointed his new servant named Jean Passepartout. He asked his servant to accompany him to get succeed in his mission. Thus they both got started. On their way Phileas didn’t forget to take his new bank notes. Mean while someone robbed a bank in that city. The investigator, Mr. Fix got suspected that Phileas made the robbery and started to follow him with out his knowledge. He acted friendly to Jean and collected information about Phileas. Phileas plan was to travel through rail and steamer in the direction of east to west London-Suez via Mont cenis, Brandish through -7 days Suez to Bombay -13 days Bombay to Calcutta -3 days Calcutta to Hong Kong - 13 days Hong Kong to Yokohama - 6 days Yokohama to San Francisco -22 days San Francisco to New York -7 days New York to London - 9 days Total - 80 days Fix tried to stop Phileas several times but it was all in vain.
